Think that the Blues is solely bands playing at venues and festivals? Think again.

Many high profile, much loved theatre musicals have Blues music and themes. One example is Blues In The Night. A few words about the show (not playing currently) and an interview with stars of the show can be found here.

At the time of writing (October 2014) a Blues-related musical is wowing London theatre-goers. Memphis is a powerful musical and references the themes and wellsprings of the Blues.

The UK is also the home of one of the only two officially approved (by Dan Aykroyd and Judith Belushi) touring Blues Brothers shows in the world, one so good that it has toured in the US, including Chicago. Website here.
